Fleet Management Officer

Location: Dar es Salaam

About the Role:

The Fleet Management Officer is responsible for maximum uptime for all company vehicles, both owned and
leased as well as ensuring all vehicle needs are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfilment and management of all company operational vehicle requirements (owned and leased)
• Ensure regulatory and legal compliance requirements are met for all vehicles HDVs and LDVs
• Contract and vendor management accountability for all vehicle leasing scenarios
• Oversight of vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Management and leadership of driving staff
• Responsible for management of costs associated with maintenance and vehicle use
• Development, enforcement, and appraisal of service level agreements for all distribution and order
  processing

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation and Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years in managing LDVs and HDVs
• Computer literate i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Basic vehicle mechanics
