To maintain our high standards of service delivery, we are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented Operations and Transport Officer to join our dynamic team.

Job Purpose

The Operations and Transport Officer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics, coordinating cargo movement, managing transport fleets, and ensuring that goods are delivered safely, legally, and on schedule. The ideal candidate will serve as the vital link between our clients, drivers, and port authorities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Cargo & Fleet Coordination: Coordinate seamless cargo movement from ports, Inland Container Depots (ICDs), warehouses, and various customer locations.

• Transport Monitoring: Arrange, schedule, and monitor day-to-day transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

• Operations Oversight: Actively follow up on cargo loading, offloading, and dispatch operations at various transit points.

• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain constant coordination with drivers, third-party transporters, clients, and port authorities to ensure smooth operations.

• Shipment Tracking: Track shipments in real-time and provide regular, accurate status updates to clients and management.

• Problem Solving: Swiftly resolve operational challenges, delays, or emergencies affecting cargo movement.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure absolute compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and regional transport regulations.

• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive operational reports, monitor vehicle utilization metrics, and maintain meticulous transport records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field.

• Proven experience working in logistics, clearing and forwarding, or transport operations.

• Strong knowledge of port operations, ICD procedures, and customs regulations.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle field challenges effectively.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and logistics tracking software.
