Job Overview & Purpose

Hodari Christian School is seeking a qualified Lifeguard & Pool Attendant responsible for ensuring the safety, active supervision, cleanliness, and smooth operation of the school swimming pool. The role focuses on monitoring students and authorized pool users, preventing water-related accidents, enforcing safety standards, and responding swiftly to emergencies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Actively monitor students and authorized users during all swimming activities.

• Prevent accidents by enforcing pool safety rules and established safety procedures.

• Respond immediately and effectively to emergencies, water distress, or injuries.

• Maintain hygiene, water safety standards, and general cleanliness of the pool area.

• Ensure all school swimming sessions are conducted securely and orderly.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Certifications: Official Lifeguard or Water Safety Certification, along with valid First Aid and CPR certifications.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lifeguard, swimming instructor, pool attendant, or similar role.

• Skills: Strong swimming proficiency with demonstrated lifesaving abilities.

• Ability to stay calm, focused, and make critical decisions during emergency situations.

• Strong ability to interact responsibly, patiently, and safely with children and young learners.
