About the Role

Yara International is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Senior Operations Manager to lead end-to-end multi-site operations across Africa while driving regional operational improvement programs across Africa and Asia. This strategic leadership role oversees site heads, manages regional operational budgets (CRC), leads CAPEX capital value processes, and enforces strict HESQ and regulatory compliance standards across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership & Governance: Direct country operations heads, translate corporate strategy into site-level KPIs, and manage total regional operational expenditure against approved budgets.

• Operational Excellence & HESQ: Implement the Yara Productivity System (YPS), monitor OKRs, and ensure strict adherence to TOPS and HESQ standards across all terminals.

• CAPEX & Strategic Infrastructure: Own the Capital Value Process (CVP) for African operations, manage infrastructure roadmaps (storage, terminal capacity), and co-lead strategic projects across Asia.

• Supply Chain & Quality Control: Oversee cross-border inbound logistics, raw material availability, third-party warehouse efficiency frameworks, and ISO quality management systems.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management (MBA or Master’s degree highly desirable).

• 10 to 15+ years of operational leadership experience with multi-country or multi-site responsibility within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

• Proven expertise in P&L accountability, complex CAPEX execution, continuous improvement frameworks, and international regulatory standards (OSHA/ISO).

• Must hold legal work authorization for Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, or Ghana.
