ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly experienced and self-driven professional to oversee the full operations of two premium Airbnb villas located in Nungwi and Kendwa, Zanzibar. This is a hands-on management position requiring exceptional organisational skills, genuine hospitality instincts, and a solid track record in short-term rental or hotel operations. You will be the single point of contact for everything — from the first guest message online to the final farewell on checkout day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all guest communications via the Airbnb platform: pre-booking inquiries, reservation confirmations, pre-arrival coordination, and post-stay follow-ups.
  • Organise and oversee guest transfers, airport pickups, and local logistics upon arrival.
  • Welcome guests on-site, conduct property orientations, and ensure a smooth, memorable check-in experience.
  • Handle all on-site guest requests, complaints, and service issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Supervise and coordinate household staff (housekeepers, gardeners, security, etc.) across both properties.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation at all times.
  • Monitor property conditions, coordinate repairs, and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure the surrounding environment (gardens, outdoor areas, pool, etc.) is always in excellent condition.
  • Manage supplies, inventories, and vendor relationships for both villas.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Demonstrated experience in Airbnb property management, villa operations, boutique hospitality, or a directly related field — this is non-negotiable.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, for daily guest communication on international platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: warm, service-oriented, and genuinely attentive to guest satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to manage staff, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and work autonomously.
  • Good knowledge of the Zanzibar region is a significant advantage.
  • Reliability, discretion, and a high sense of professional responsibility.
