Location of the office: Jangwani Beach (Mbezi Beach)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assess, survey, adjust and investigate the extent of the loss or damage and recommend repairs and replacement of items insured
• To comply with the insurance companies rules and also ensure that the customer is compensated for the loss sustained
• To collect information, examining property damage from various sources
• To maintain confidentiality and neutrality without jeopardising the liability of the insurer and the claim of the insured
• To assist in uncovering fraudulent claims
• To write a full detailed report after carefully analyzing the loss sustained
• To estimate insurance costs and inspecting insured properties in order to evaluate the conditions that affect underwriting standards
• To carry out background research and gathering information

REQUIREMENTS

• High analytical skills to critically analyze and examine damages and conduct investigation
• Good mathematical skills to effectively assess damages
• Several years of experience either professionally or through work internship
• A bachelor degree in insurance or business related field will be an added advantage
• Well developed written and oral communication skills to effectively talk to claimants and interview witness and also report to upper management of insurance company
