Position Overview
The HR Officer handles generalist human resources administration, employee relations, recruitment, and organizational policy enforcement across GSM operations. Working within a fast-paced environment, the role balances field and office support to ensure smooth workforce administration, regulatory compliance, and operational alignment with business objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding: Facilitate end-to-end recruitment processes, conduct candidate interviews, manage background verification, and oversee onboarding for new hires.

Employee Relations & Grievances: Manage workplace conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and employee grievance handling in accordance with Tanzanian labor laws and corporate policies.

HR Administration & Records: Maintain up-to-date employee files, track leave requests, monitor performance evaluation schedules, and manage overall HR database accuracy.

Policy Compliance & Execution: Enforce organizational HR policies and standard operating procedures across operational units; assist in policy reviews and compliance updates.

Manufacturing & Site HR Support: Deliver targeted administrative HR support for production and operational staff, prioritizing industrial workforce efficiency and safety compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated generalist HR experience.

Industry Advantage: Prior experience in steel manufacturing, industrial processing, or large-scale manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

Competencies: Strong command of Tanzanian labor laws, conflict resolution techniques, general HR administrative tools, and organizational problem-solving skills.
