About the Role

Coca-Cola Kwanza (Tanzania) is seeking a driven Fleets Team Leader to join its Supply Chain team in Mbeya. Reporting to the Country Lead Fleet, this role is responsible for managing regional fleet execution, optimizing vehicle availability, maintaining fleet master data, and enforcing strict preventive maintenance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fleet Availability & Maintenance: Proactively manage vehicle downtime, conduct fleet audits, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules, vehicle licensing, and safety compliance.

• Operational Control & Master Data: Maintain accurate Fleet Master Data, track Short Interval Control (SIC) mechanisms, and implement Lean management techniques to minimize waste.

• Team Leadership & Development: Coach, lead, and evaluate team members, closing skill gaps through performance reviews and one-on-one sessions.

• Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Guide teams through root-cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why techniques) to resolve technical fleet issues and update operational work instructions.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or Transport Management.

• At least 3 years of line management and technical experience in fleet or logistics operations.

• Strong knowledge of fleet performance measures, Lean principles, cost drivers, and project/change management.

• Proven leadership, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills.
