Position Purpose
The Admissions, Communications and Marketing Manager leads the strategic admissions, integrated marketing, and corporate communications functions for AKES,T across its three schools in Tanzania. Reporting to leadership, the role owns the end-to-end recruitment funnel, protects and enhances institutional brand reputation, designs digital and traditional marketing initiatives, and nurtures relationships with prospective families, embassies, corporate HR partners, and relocation agencies to achieve student enrollment growth goals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Admissions & Enrolment Management:
-
Own the complete admissions pipeline: inquiries, campus tours, applications, candidate assessments, offers, and student enrollments.

Formulate and execute annual student recruitment strategies to meet institutional enrollment goals.

Build and maintain strategic networks with embassies, consulates, corporate HR teams, relocation agencies, and prospective families.

Plan, coordinate, and host open house events, virtual sessions, and school tours.

Manage the admissions CRM/database to track lead conversion, follow-ups, and enrollment analytics.

Marketing & Digital Brand Strategy:

Design and implement an integrated multi-channel marketing and communications plan across digital, social, print, and experiential platforms.

Oversee school digital properties, including website administration, social media platforms, email marketing newsletters, and content planning.

Produce print and digital promotional materials (brochures, ads, videos, presentations) in full compliance with AKDN brand guidelines.

Manage relationships and service delivery with third-party vendors (photographers, videographers, graphic designers, media agencies).

Perform market research and competitor benchmarking to sharpen institutional positioning.

Leadership & Institutional Alignment:

Work closely with school leadership to align marketing, public relations, and admissions programs with AKES,T strategic objectives.

Ensure consistent brand voice, values, and messaging across all communications.

Lead, mentor, and supervise the admissions and marketing team.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:
-
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.

Desirable: Master’s degree (MBA, M.A. in Communications, Marketing, or Education).

Added Advantage: Professional certifications in Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or CRM systems.

Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in admissions management, strategic marketing, or corporate communications.

At least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role overseeing teams, budget planning, and strategy execution.

Prior experience within international schools, private K-12 education, or higher education institutions is highly preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Deep understanding of admissions funnel dynamics, customer journey mapping, and enrollment management.

Strong technical proficiency in CRM systems, website CMS platforms, social media analytics, and digital marketing channels.

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.

Proven relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and customer service/hospitality orientation.
