Role Overview & Strategic Impact
As an Operations Specialist focused on Driver Growth, Planning, and City Expansion, you will play a central role in launching, scaling, and managing Bolt’s marketplace operations across secondary cities in Tanzania. The role involves managing end-to-end driver acquisition funnels, optimizing driver onboarding, executing expansion plans, and converting operational data into clear growth strategies to balance supply and demand.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Driver Acquisition & Retention:
-
Manage the complete driver acquisition funnel from lead generation to activation and active performance.

Utilize referral programs, scout initiatives, and local activation channels to meet supply targets.

Optimize onboarding workflows through driver engagement centers, clinics, and compliance checks to improve retention.

City Expansion & Marketplace Planning:

Design and execute structured expansion plans to launch Bolt services in new secondary cities across Tanzania.

Monitor supply-and-demand metrics to maintain healthy, balanced, and sustainable marketplace operations.

Roll out local campaigns to boost driver activity and rider demand simultaneously.

Data Analysis & Performance Tracking:

Monitor and report on key operational metrics across driver activation, retention, and city performance.

Translate complex operational data into actionable, prioritized execution plans.

Partner with internal Marketplace, Driver Engagement, and Rider teams to eliminate operational bottlenecks.

Qualifications & Requirements
-
Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in operations, logistics, mobility, or tech-enabled marketplace environments.

Prior experience in the Tanzanian market or similar emerging market landscapes is an added advantage.

Technical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization/performance dashboards.
