Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Waste and Environmental Manager oversees enterprise-wide environmental operations, hazardous/medical waste handling, site disposal activities, and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role leads site teams, develops innovative waste reduction strategies, and manages relationships with government environmental bodies.

• Operations & Disposal Management: Oversee the collection, transportation, and safe disposal of waste streams; prevent soil, water, and air contamination across plant sites and client operations.

• Statutory Compliance & Policy: Ensure full compliance with national environmental regulations (NEMC), local authority guidelines, health and safety rules, and company standards. Waste and Environmental Manager Job Vacancy at TMHS

• Corporate Sustainability: Formulate advanced waste disposal methods, establish organizational sustainability targets, and manage environmental impact assessments (EIA).

• Financial & Stakeholder Management: Negotiate waste service contracts, control operational costs, optimize revenue streams, and liaise with public bodies and regulatory authorities.

• Team Leadership & Quality Control: Supervise, train, and coach operational teams, perform environmental impact evaluations, and maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Certifications: Registration as an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Expert is considered an added advantage.
