Comprehensive Needs Assessment – Kigamboni District 

Background:  

Africa Relief and Community Development (ARCD) is a non-profit organization designed to  improve the lives of individuals and communities in need throughout the African continent. ARCD  has been working in Tanzania for over two years implementing Education, Health, and other  Humanitarian programs. 

ARCD seeks a Consulting firm to conduct a Comprehensive Needs Assessment for an upcoming  Multisectoral Development Program within Kigamboni District premises. The program will focus  on Education, Health and development of Support to youth and Vulnerable population. 

Objective: 

To design and conduct a Comprehensive Needs Assessment to support the upcoming Multisectoral  Development program in Kigamboni District. 

Scope of Work: 

1. The Needs Assessment work shall focus only within Kigamboni District premises 2. The exercise shall focus on assessing the needs on Education, Health, and Youth  employment reflecting entrepreneurship and innovation aspects for Youths, Widows,  Disadvantaged populations and other related. 

Deliverables: 

The Consultant shall share the following deliverables during the Needs Assessment  implementation: – 

1. An inception report 
2. Comprehensive Workplan 
3. Comprehensive Budget 
4. Preliminary Report presentation
5. Final Report to be approved by ARCD 

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. Master’s degree or above in Economics, Social Science, Development Studies, Public  Administration, Business Administration or any other related field. 
2. At least 5 years’ relevant field experience in similar areas of work.  
3. Experience in drafting project documents, reports, and research 
4. Experience in conducting Needs Assessments 
5. Experience in providing similar services to international organizations within the United  Republic of Tanzania. 

Language requirements: 

The applicant shall be proficient in spoken and written English and Swahili languages. 

Project Timeline: 

The Needs Assessment exercise shall be expected to last a period of twenty (20) working days.
