Yatech Company Limited is a Tanzanian technology company and the team behind PasuaX. We are looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Officer to own our presence on Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. You will plan, design, shoot and publish our content, grow our audience, and help shape our wider sales and marketing strategy as we grow in the East African market.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and manage a monthly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat.
- Design graphics, carousels, stories and short-form videos that match the brand.
- Shoot photo and video content and edit it to fit each platform’s formats.
- Publish and schedule posts consistently, keeping every account active and on brand.
- Engage with followers: reply to comments and messages, and pass customer issues to the customer service team.
- Track performance (reach, engagement, follower growth and conversions) and share a monthly report with recommendations.
- Support the sales and marketing strategy: plan and run campaigns, promotions and launch activities.
- Research trends, competitors and audience insights to keep our brand clearly different in the market.
- Work with influencers, creators and partners on collaborations.
- Keep an organised library of brand assets, templates and published content.
Minimum qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, Multimedia or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in social media management and content creation.
- A strong creative portfolio showing design, photo and video work.
- Fluent in English and Swahili, written and spoken.
Requirements
- Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in relevant design tools.
- Proven ability to shoot, edit and produce engaging photo and video content.
- Ability to plan, create and manage content across 3 social media platforms.

- Available to work full-time from our Dar es Salaam office.
Skills
- Technical: Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, mobile photography and videography, copywriting in English and Swahili, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, content scheduling tools, trend research.
- Personal: creativity, eye for detail, strategic thinking, clear communication, self-motivated, meets deadlines, trend awareness, teamwork, takes feedback well.
