About the Role
Computer Centre is seeking a proactive and skilled Hardware Pre Sales Engineer in Dar es Salaam to work closely with sales teams, technical divisions, and vendor partners. The role focuses on designing technical hardware solutions, supporting RFPs and tender compliances, managing vendor relationships, and driving business development for enterprise infrastructure products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Technical Support: Work closely with sales teams to provide accurate configurations, product specifications, and cost-effective solution positioning for clients.
  • Tender & RFP Compliance: Assist back-office teams with RFPs and tenders, ensuring all technical compliance, Bill of Materials/Quantities (BOM/BOQ), and documentation are completed accurately and on time. Hardware Pre Sales Engineer
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Maintain vendor relationships, manage partner portals, handle deal registrations for price protection, and negotiate stock availability and pricing with distributors.
  • Vendor Certifications: Ensure required pre-sales training and vendor partnership statuses are maintained within designated timelines.
  • Client & Delivery Oversight: Inspect client orders, supervise hardware installations, and ensure proper equipment delivery and inspection.
  • Business Development: Explore and position new hardware, server, storage, and networking solutions for clients and the business unit.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technology field.
  • Certifications: Professional or vendor certifications in hardware, enterprise servers, storage, networking, or infrastructure are an added advantage.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of enterprise hardware solutions, technical solution design, tender/RFP preparation, and deal registration workflows.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with leading technology vendors and distributors in enterprise hardware is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into functional technical solutions.
