The Jubilee Insurance is the first private insurance company to be established in Tanzania following liberalisation of the financial sector in 1998. Jubilee Tanzania is part of the Jubilee Insurance Group operating in East Africa. The Group is one of the oldest and highly reputed enterprises in East Africa as part of the Aga- Khan Development Network having its flagship company operating in Kenya since 1937. The Company restarted operations in Tanzania in 1998 with strong financial support and equity participation from world-renowned institutions like the Aga-Khan Fund for Economic Development of Geneva, International Finance Corporation of Washington D. C. and the National Social Security Fund of Tanzania.
Jubilee is licensed to underwrite all classes of general and life insurance business and specialises in offering custom solutions for the insurance needs of individuals, corporate and the industrial sectors covering Life, Property and Liability among others. The Company believes in training as a key tool for advancement and has various modules of training programmes conducted in-house.
