Job Overview

The Senior Sales Specialist (Building & Industrial) leads business development and sales activities in the industrial and construction sectors. This role focuses on expanding the customer base, securing product approvals with key stakeholders, managing client relationships, and driving revenue through low-voltage, medium-voltage, and specialty cable product sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned order intake, invoicing, gross profit, and payment collection targets across the building and industrial sectors.

• Develop relationships with developers, consultants, MEP/EPC contractors, architects, and industrial clients to secure product approvals during the design stage.

• Monitor construction project opportunities from inception through bidding, negotiation, and order fulfillment.

• Conduct customer and site visits to identify project needs, qualify opportunities, and present commercial and technical proposals.

• Collaborate with technical, production, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely project delivery.

• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, visit reports, and revenue forecasts for management review.

• Ensure full compliance with company pricing models, credit policies, contractual obligations, and Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

• Professional registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or an equivalent professional body.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience; proven B2B sales track record in the cable manufacturing industry is mandatory (7 years preferred).

• Strong technical and commercial expertise in building and industrial cable solutions, contract negotiation, tender management, and CRM tools.

• Fluency in English and Swahili.
