The Company
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project is part of the Lake Albert Development. The project is a 1,443km cross-country pipeline development to enable the transport of heavy and waxy crude oil reserves located in the Albertine Graben region in Uganda, to a terminal station in Tanga on the East Coast of Tanzania. The EACOP SYSTEM is split into three component parts namely Pipeline, Above Ground Installations (AGIs), and the Marine Storage Terminal (MST).

Description of Scholarship: Duration and Location
In line with their respective scopes, EACOP contractors are seeking young, dynamic, and fresh graduates from Tanzanian tertiary institutions and universities who can embark on life-changing scholarship opportunities at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
These scholarship programs will last 18 months, with 12 months spent on coursework at UDSM main and 6 months on research dissertation scholarship covers, tuition fees, registration fee, 18 months stipend and research funds..
Description of Activities/Program to be issued/covered.
- Attend coursework as fulltime student at UDSM main campus
- Research dissertation focusing on particular programme field
- Optional site visits
- One-on-one engagements with experienced experts in particular field
Qualifications and requirements for the scholars to be deployed/selected.
- Bachelor degree holders who graduated in less than 3 years (2021 calendar year and onwards) in relevant disciplines that qualify for admission in listed master programmes.
- Bachelor degree with GPA of 3.5 and above in relevant disciplines.
- Must be a Tanzanian.
- Must have good command in English language: written, reading and speaking.
- Have the ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical information in relevant disciplines.
- Admission to one, among the listed master programmes offered by UDSM.

Note that along with this scholarship admission, applicants will not be obliged to submit copies of their Academic Transcripts, A level certificate, O level certificate and/or birth certificate. Instead, EACOP scholarship programme may access such documents for applicants with admission into listed UDSM master programme, from UDSM admission system.
