Purpose of the Role
As a Sales Executive, you will manage an assigned geographical territory and distributor network. Your primary focus will be achieving primary and secondary sales targets, increasing market share, and driving key performance indicators (KPIs) by leading and empowering Area Distributors and Value Segment Managers (VSMs).
Key Responsibilities
1. Distributor & Sales Performance Management

Drive primary and secondary sales targets within your assigned territory.

Manage relationships and execution within Top 10–15 retail outlets and stockists.

Collaborate with the Customer Marketing team to implement secondary sales initiatives (e.g., 3-wheeler projects, stockist incentives).

Monitor distributor health, profitability, and operational efficiency (logistics, routing, automation, and ROI), while proactively highlighting performance risks.
2. Territory Expansion & Account Development

Identify and recruit new business partners, stockists, and distributors through the standard KYC process.

Improve brand visibility, price compliance, cooler execution, and stock availability across all accounts.

Lead the launch and listing of new innovation brands and SKUs.

Gather and report competitive market intelligence to the commercial team.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor and coach VSMs using Diageo’s sales effectiveness toolkits.

Work closely with internal SBL marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure flawless execution of commercial plans.

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration or a related field).

Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and basic mathematical skills. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and salesmanship skills.

Technology & Tools: Proficiency in using mobile sales devices and digital tools.

Logistics: Valid driving license with excellent driving skills.

Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision, and possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Professional and clean presentation in company-branded attire is required.
