Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam
Contract Duration: Four (4) months (Contract extension is subject to funding availability, performance or/and mutual agreement).

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in Korea in 1991. It was granted General Consultative Status from the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Our mission is to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Established in Tanzania in 2005, we work towards creating an environment where children’s rights are protected and communities achieve sustainable development through empowerment, leadership, and ownership.
Role Overview
Under the overall authority of the Country Director (CD) of Good Neighbors Tanzania (GNTZ) and direct supervision of the Administration Manager, the PR & Marketing Officer will be responsible for fostering brand awareness and maintaining a positive public image for the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in media management, public representation, and relations.
Key Responsibilities
Online & Offline promotion o Offline: planning and producing promotional visibilities, preparing and distributing press releases, publishing publication, etc.
Online: Home page, SNS management and operation
Content Creation o Planning and operating promotional content.
Utilizing and managing SNS & YouTube channels.
Managing the homepage and posting uploads. o Producing promotional programs and campaigns.
Creating videos and clips.
General Public Relations Work o Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media professionals to ensure positive coverage. o Publications: Creating and managing content for newsletters, brochures, and other promotional materials.
Ensuring effective communication within the organization by disseminating important information and updates.
Tracking media coverage and public perception of the organization to inform PR strategies.
Preparing reports on PR activities, media coverage, and campaign effectiveness to provide insights and recommendations for future actions.
Qualification, experiences and competencies o A university degree in a relevant field such as graphic design, computer science or related field.
Experience in digital marketing and social media management. o A minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience relevant to the position. o Documented achievements in fundraising activities.
Experience in partnership-building and resource mobilization in national contexts.
Other Competencies/Attributes:
Skills in graphic design and video editing to create visually appealing content. o Video production planning and management skills. o Strong communication skills. o Great attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all communications. o Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues effectively. o Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
Expert knowledge of English.
