Key Bidding Terms & Selection Criteria

• Minimum Reserve Price: Bids below the appraised value of $8,500 USD will not be accepted.

• Selection Process: The vehicle will be awarded to the highest bidder offering an amount equal to or above the appraised value. In the case of tie bids, the earliest submitted application will be selected.

• Bid Modification: Once submitted, bidding amounts cannot be altered or revised.

• Payment Terms: Full payment must be completed within 7 calendar days of the sale announcement. Failure to pay within the deadline results in automatic award to the next highest eligible bidder.

Important Buyer Obligations & Tax Information

• Diplomatic Tax Exemption: The vehicle was imported under diplomatic privilege. The successful buyer is solely responsible for verifying and settling all local import duties, VAT, registration fees, and transfer taxes with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).

• Transfer & Logistics: All costs associated with title transfer, vehicle towing/transportation, and ongoing maintenance belong entirely to the winning bidder.

• Inspection & Warranty: The vehicle is sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis. The Embassy accepts no liability for vehicle condition or defects following acquisition.
