Tanganyika Law Society is the organisation which is part of the bar association of Tanzania Mainland which was founded in 1954 by an act of parliament-the Tanganyika Law Society Ordinance 1954.
TLS is a membership organization that represents Advocates in Tanzania Mainland. TLS is constituted through Tanganyika Law Society Act CAP 307 R.E. 2002. TLS is composed of registered Advocates whose number now stands 8802 Advocates.
