Background & Purpose of the Role
TOL Gases PLC is a leading industrial and medical gases company listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the plant according to working instructions, executing first-line troubleshooting/diagnosis, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and ensuring strict adherence to cleanliness and ISO standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Efficiency: Operate the plant effectively according to working instructions to minimize operational costs and ensure parameters run at full capacity.

Quality & Parameter Checks: Perform hourly purity and quality control checks, record results, and log operating parameters every hour.

Deviation Reporting: Promptly report any operational deviations or issues to the supervisor.

Standards & Compliance: Adhere strictly to ISO 22000 standards, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and company hygiene schedules.

Safety & OSHA: Observe and enforce safety regulations in the plant in full compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. Plant Operators

Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with other teams to align operational activities with company goals.

Maintenance & Support: Execute plant maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors and handle other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Chemical and Processing Engineering.

Membership with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) / Tanzania Engineering board is an added advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of practical working experience in a manufacturing environment.
