Watoto Foundation founded in 2003, a registered an international NGO has already helped over 1300 hard-core street children aged between 13 and 18 years old.
Watoto Foundation founded in 2003, a registered an international NGO has already helped over 1300 hard-core street children aged between 13 and 18 years old. We are working with a team of 19 staff to change the lives of around 100 former street children to have a future and well-paid job before leaving the center. We are located at Makumira/Kilala on 17 acres of beautiful land with our own Primary morning MEMKWA program/school, and vocational training center including agriculture, livestock, horticulture, and training for the tourism industry. Our program is very successful, with in the end a paid job for all our graduated students. Very few can continue their study in secondary- high school and even University. We also have a Drop-In center in Njiro Arusha with a maximum of 12 boys. We are closely related to Uraki primary school and WF Kiboko Lodge, which gives training to our graduated students for the tourism industry.
The organization is looking for competent, and hardworking candidates with self-confidence, discipline and focus to fill the following posts; livestock keeper-1.
LIVE STOCK KEEPER, CANDIDATE WITH A DIPLOMA/ DEGREE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- Your age should be between 25 and 35 years.
- Responsible for all livestock units, livestock food storage, order and controlling stocks.
- Responsible for hygiene around livestock sheds, find the best market for our products.
- Responsible for buying and selling animals, control the milk, eggs, chicken and fish production as much as possible.
- Teaching students theory and practical (Animal health and production)
- You should have recommendation letters from your former employers.
- You should sleep for at least 2 nights at the center as a patron like to join some sports.
- You must also have experience in counseling, in the afternoon you supervise the vocational training activities.
- You must speak and write very good English.
- You must know that ‘beaten’ is strictly forbidden in our center.
- You should oversee the center in a well-organized way, and a team player and very good at communication.
- Working hours are from 07:30 Am to 04:30 Pm (30min breakfast, and 1hr lunch) from Monday to Friday and Saturday 7:30 to 01:30Pm (30min breakfast & 1hr Lunch)
- Planning, Organizing and reporting veterinary activities.
