Job Description:
SimbaNET is seeking an experienced Legal and Regulatory Manager to advise and guide the management on:
Business legal, compliance, and regulatory issues in Tanzania, particularly matters arising from:
- TCRA (Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority)
- TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority)
- TARURA (Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency) – Note: This seems less likely to be directly relevant to a telecom, might be a typo or broader compliance.
- BRELA (Business Registrations and Licensing Agency)
- TANESCO (Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited)
- NSSF (National Social Security Fund)
- And other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Legal matters within SimbaNET, WGT (Wananchi Group Tanzania), and WCTL (Wananchi Cable
- Television Limited), including but not limited to contracts, court cases, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Law (LLB)
- Member of Tanzania Law Society
- Must be practicing and registered as Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths
- Minimum of 3-7 years working experience in legal practice and a business environment.
