Job Title: Legal and Compliance Officer
Location: Dar es Salaam

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Legal and Compliance Officer to support the organization in ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role will be responsible for providing legal guidance, managing compliance frameworks, and mitigating legal risks within a fast-paced FMCG/National Lottery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to various departments on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Ensure compliance with local laws, industry regulations, and internal policies
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on potential impacts
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and support internal audits
- Liaise with external regulators, legal advisors, and relevant authorities
- Support investigations and handle legal disputes where necessary
- Deliver compliance training and awareness across the organization
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Postgraduate qualification or certification in Compliance is a requirement.
- Admission to the Bar (Tanzania) is required
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG or a regulated industry such as gaming/lottery
- Strong knowledge of Tanzanian legal and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in contract management and compliance monitoring
- High level of integrity and professionalism
