Taasisi ya Elimu ya Watu Wazima – Institute of Adult Education Dar es Salaam, Tanzania IAE has come a long way since its founding in early 1960s when it started as a section under the department of extra- mural studies of Makerere University College under the University of London. Then it became part of the University College of Dar Es Salaam in 1963, having more activities including research, Distance Education and training of adult educators. In 1975, IAE was established as an autonomous institution under the then Ministry of National Education, presently called Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT).
