Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Gibb’s Farm –Ngorongoro Safari Lodge. Ideally, we would like someone with a strong background in hospitality, who is a people person and can lead our restaurant team to be even better than they already are.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the food and beverage team in delivering exception service and customer care.
• Ensure that the team are given regular training and opportunities to increase their knowledge and skills.
• Understand and comply with the OSHA standards and ensure that the work area is safe and sanitary at all times.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and to look for ways to improve and to be innovative in the presentation and service
•  Oversee the service of food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, room service, and special events.
• Work closely with the executive chef to ensure full understanding and knowledge of the menus, dietary requires and special requests
• Oversee training, and performance of the food and beverage service team.
• To be observant and pro-active in anticipating guest and staff requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a food and beverage management role, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
• Proven track record of effective management and leadership.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
