Edward Lowassa Passed Away

Announcing the death on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan through National Television (TBC), Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango has said that Lowassa died today at eight in the afternoon.

He said Lowassa died at the JKCI hospital while he was being treated for intestinal obstruction, lung problems and high blood pressure.

“Lowassa has been ill for a long time, he has been receiving treatment since January 14, 2022 at the JKCI hospital and later in South Africa and returned to JKCI.
