Role Overview

Park Hyatt Zanzibar is looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support daily departmental operations. In this role, you will lead a motivated team to maintain the highest standards of luxury, cleanliness, and safety across guest rooms and public areas while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Support: Assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth running of the department.

• Quality Standards: Maintain consistent adherence to Hyatt brand standards for cleanliness and hygiene in guest rooms and public areas.

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, coach, and develop the housekeeping team to foster high performance and motivation.

• Inventory & Admin: Help manage inventory control, laundry/linen supplies, and departmental administrative tasks.

• Guest Satisfaction: Address guest requests promptly and maintain operational efficiency to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma, Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience within a housekeeping department (preferably in a hotel environment).

• Core Skills:

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Genuine passion for luxury hospitality and high service standards.
