Job brief

Monarch Creatives is looking for a content creator and social media manager to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Photography:

• Capturing professional-quality photographs of individuals, groups, events, and locations. 
• Using various photographic techniques and lighting equipment. 
• Arranging objects, scenes, lighting, and backgrounds for optimal visual impact. 
• Working with clients to understand their needs and expectations. 
• Understanding photographic best practices and procedures. 
• Retouching and enhancing images using software like Photoshop or Lightroom. 

Videography:

• Capturing high-quality video footage for various purposes, including promotional videos, event recordings, and interviews. 
• Planning and setting up video shoots, including lighting and audio equipment. 
• Editing raw footage into polished, engaging videos. 
• Collaborating with creative teams to develop video concepts. 
• Managing video archives and organizing footage. 
• Ensuring all video content aligns with brand guidelines. 
• Operating and maintaining video equipment. 
• Conducting interviews and capturing B-roll footage. 
• Handling live streaming for events.

Social Media:

• Build data-driven social media plans that match the company’s business and marketing goals.
• Write creative copy, design graphics, and produce photos and videos tailored to each specific platform.
• Reply to comments, answer direct messages, and build positive relationships with followers.
• Track performance metrics, study engagement data, and use insights to improve future campaigns.
• Keep up with the latest digital trends, viral sounds, and platform updates to stay relevant.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with various photographic and videographic equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment. 
• Knowledge of editing software like Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut, or Premiere Pro. 
• Knowledge in social media platform like Instagram, Facebook, X and Ticktock
• Understanding of image and video formats, resolutions, and file sizes. 

Other Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a database of photographic images and videos. 
• Managing schedules for shoots and projects. 
• Attending and monitoring events. 
• Participating in staff training and emergency drills. 
• Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and communications. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven professional shooting experience with a strong portfolio.
• Solid knowledge of editing software.
• Solid knowledge of social media platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for composition.
• Passion for visual storytelling.
• Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant software, such as Adobe suite and final cut.
