Role Summary

We are looking for a driven IT professional who combines hands-on ERPNext technical skills with solid functional knowledge of core business processes. You will work across the full project lifecycle — requirements gathering, configuration, customisation, user training, and ongoing support — while also contributing to internal product development and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration

• Configure and customise ERPNext modules to match client business workflows
• Build custom DocTypes, Frappe forms, dashboards, and reports
• Develop server-side scripts, scheduled jobs, and REST API integrations in Python
• Write client-side customisations using JavaScript and Jinja Templating

Support & Operations

• Provide Level 1–2 technical and functional support to clients in Mwanza and across Tanzania
• Diagnose and resolve ERPNext issues including data integrity, workflows, and permission errors
• Manage bench setup, multi-tenant deployments, patches, and upgrades
• Document configurations, customisations, and support resolutions

Development & Automation

• Develop and maintain custom Frappe apps and integrations (M-Pesa, PesaPal, WhatsApp/Twilio, TRA VFD)
• Build workflow automations using tools such as n8n or similar
• Contribute to mobile or web portal front-ends connected to Frappe backends

Client Engagement

• Conduct requirements discovery sessions and translate business needs into system design
• Deliver end-user training and produce clear user documentation
• Participate in pre-sales demos and solution scoping for prospective clients

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical — Must Have

• Hands-on experience with ERPNext / Frappe framework (v13, v14, or v15)
• Working knowledge of Python for server-side Frappe scripting
• JavaScript proficiency for client-side scripts and form customisation
• Jinja Templating for print formats, custom scripts, and email alerts
• Familiarity with MariaDB / MySQL and basic SQL query writing
• Linux command-line comfort for bench operations and server management

Functional — Must Have

• Solid understanding of at least two ERPNext module areas:
• Procurement / Purchase Management
• Sales & Order Management
• Inventory & Warehouse Management
• Accounting / Finance (General Ledger, AR/AP, Cost Centres)
• Ability to map real-world business processes into ERPNext configurations

Preferred Qualifications (Strong Advantage)

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business IT, or related field
• Prior ERPNext implementation experience in manufacturing, trade, fisheries, or finance sectors
• Experience with REST API integrations (M-Pesa Daraja, PesaPal, WhatsApp Business API)
• Exposure to Power BI or other BI/reporting tools
• Knowledge of TRA VFD / EFDMS e-invoicing requirements in Tanzania
• Familiarity with n8n, Make, or similar workflow automation platforms
• Experience with React, React Native, or Vue for front-end development
• Fluency in Kiswahili and English (both written and spoken)
