ABOUT THE ROLE
Lamis Buffet & Dining is looking for an experienced Buffet Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in buffet-style cooking, with the ability to prepare and manage food for lunch and dinner service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook food for lunch and dinner buffet
- Plan daily and weekly buffet menus
- Ensure food is prepared on time and served hot
- Maintain consistent taste and quality
- Manage food portions and reduce food waste
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Work closely with kitchen assistants/helpers
- Monitor kitchen stock and report requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in buffet service
- Strong knowledge of local dishes and basic continental dishes
- Ability to cook for large numbers of guests
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure
- High level of cleanliness and discipline
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to start work immediately (added advantage)
ADDED ADVANTAGE
- Experience working in hotels, resorts, beach restaurants, or catering
- Ability to plan menus according to budget
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
