Who we are
A Gems is a new Tanzanian company. We focus on the development of machines, components, and systems that improve productivity in manufacturing, logistics, and energy sectors. We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and passionate young mechanic to join our team in Dar es Salaam.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance;
- Diagnose basic mechanical and electrical problems;
- Repair and replace defective parts;
- Use workshop tools and equipment correctly;
- Perform safety checks and tests after repairs;
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe;
- Follow work procedures and safety instructions;
- Report completed work to the workshop supervisor.
Candidate Profile
- Must be a resident of Dar es Salaam;
- Must be under 27 years of age;
- Must have training in automotive mechanics, general mechanics, or a related field;
- Previous practical experience, an internship, or an apprenticeship is an advantage;
- Basic knowledge of mechanical diagnosis and maintenance;
- Punctual, honest, disciplined, and willing to learn;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good command of English is desirable.
