About the Program

The National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania (NIC) is the country’s leading insurance company, established under the Companies Ordinance Act, CAP 212. NIC is inviting qualified young Tanzanians to apply for 21 volunteer positions to acquire practical knowledge and enhance their employability.

Vacant Positions & Requirements

1. Insurance Officer II (5 Posts)

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Social Protection, Risk Management, or equivalent.

• Knowledge: Understanding of insurance products.

2. Records Management Assistant II (4 Posts – 2 HQ, 2 Tabata)

• Qualifications: Diploma in Records Management, Archives, Archive and Documentation, Records and Information Management, or equivalent.

• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of working experience in a relevant field.

3. ICT Officer II (1 Post)

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Database Administration, Network Administration, Computer Systems Analysis/Security, Web/Multimedia, or Computer Programming/Applications.

• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of working experience in a related field.

4. Planning Officer II (2 Posts)

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Project Planning and Management, Economic Planning, or equivalent.

• Skills: Must be computer literate.

5. Accounts Officer II (2 Posts)

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance option), or NBAA Intermediate Certificate (Module D).

6. Legal Officer II (1 Post)

• Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and must have attended and passed Internship or Law School of Tanzania.

7. Technician – Graphic Designer II (1 Post)

• Qualifications: Diploma in ICT, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, or Mass Communication.

General Eligibility & Terms

• Citizenship & Age: Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.

• Prior Employment: Must NEVER have been employed in any public institution since graduating.

• Duration: Up to 12 months, renewable for a maximum of two additional periods.

• Conduct: Clean record with no criminal convictions or disciplinary misconduct.

3. Certified copies of academic certificates.

4. Copy of National ID (NIDA), Voter’s ID, or Driving License.
