Purpose:
To provide finance and administrative support to the project field office in Tanzania.

Background
The Global Health Supply Chain Finance and Administration Assistant (GHSC-TA-TZ) program, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), provides expert Finance and Administration Assistance to Tanzania to strengthen country supply chain systems across all health elements, e.g., malaria, family planning (FP), HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH). In coordination with in-country and development partners, GHSC assists Government of Tanzania health programs by providing strategic planning and implementation assistance; improving the delivery of health commodities to service sites; providing capacity building support to broaden stakeholders understanding and engagement of the supply chain system; and strengthening enabling environments to improve supply chain performance.
Required Services:
Activities undertaken by this contract
- Review advance and expense reports, as well as other expenses to ensure that all expenditures are processed in compliance with USAID rules and regulations, and that all transactions are processed according to internal procedures.
- Assist in monthly accounting closeout.
- Assist in developing VAT reporting to TRA and USAID.
- Provide technical advice when more technical support is required for laptops, printers, scanners and wireless devices.
- Prepare purchase order (PO) and maintain it in electronic filing system.
- Assist activity managers in workshop implementation as necessary. Activities including
coordinating with vendors on conference facilities, travel coordination, travel to field to support per diem payments in trainings. - Filling out payment vouchers and other supporting documents.
- Performing any other duty(ies) as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.
Deliverables
- Timesheet will be required for all work performed. Timesheet has to be approved by Director Finance and Administration.
Other Requirements
- Possible travel to other offices outside of Dar es Salaam. Costs for travel will be reimbursed on cost reimbursement basis.
Qualifications
- Recognized professional qualification in accounting, business administration.
- High proficiency in using Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Communicates with colleagues in a clear and courteous manner.
- Ability to take initiative and work in teams with minimum supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook required.
- Financial experience with a USAID-funded project and knowledge of USAID rules and
regulations preferred. - Able and willing to travel within the country when required and if necessary.
- Experience working with an NGO an added advantage.
