Jubaili Agrotec Ltd is a leading agribusiness company committed to providing innovative agricultural solutions that enhance productivity and profitability for farmers. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Technical Agronomist to join our Seeds Division.
Position Summary
The Technical Agronomist will support the growth of the Seeds Division by establishing and managing demonstration plots for hybrid maize and vegetable seeds, conducting farmer training programs, and providing technical agronomic support to farmers, dealers, and the sales team. The role is critical in driving product adoption and strengthening customer confidence in our seed portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, establish, monitor, and manage demonstration plots for hybrid maize and vegetable seed varieties.
- Evaluate crop performance and maintain accurate records of field activities, observations, and results.
- Organize and conduct farmer training sessions, field days, product demonstrations, and promotional events.
- Provide technical agronomic recommendations on crop establishment, nutrition, irrigation, pest and disease management, and harvesting practices.
- Support the sales team and dealers with technical product knowledge, customer engagement, and problem-solving.
- Gather farmer feedback, market intelligence, and competitor information to support product development and commercialization strategies.
- Prepare timely technical reports on demonstration plots, training activities, and field performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of agronomic programs and business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in seed agronomy or a similar technical role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing demonstration plots for hybrid maize and vegetable seed varieties.
- Strong technical knowledge of crop production and agronomic best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, training, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively engage with farmers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within assigned territories.
