Job Purpose

To support the bank in meeting its Strategic Intent by ensuring employees receive relevant learning interventions to enhance performance in their current role or build future capabilities that are of strategic importance to the bank and their career growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Talent Management

• Work closely with HR L&D partners and business leaders to deliver exceptional business performance through first-class people development initiatives as per the training plan.

• Analyze staff training needs identified through Performance Development (PD) and Talent Management by line management.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party training partners, HRBPs, People Managers, and Departmental Heads to align learning interventions with business strategy.

• Support the Head of Talent to implement the Talent Management Process, Leadership Development Programmes, and Leadership Framework.

• Compile Annual Training Plans in conjunction with the Head of Talent and Business Units within approved budgets.

• Support business units in defining training needs and competency gaps to facilitate business execution and employee career growth.

• Participate in job fairs and events while maintaining active contacts with educational institutions.

2. Design & Develop Training Programmes

• Design, develop, or source learning solutions that address identified training needs and performance gaps.

• Manage the design of tailored learning interventions in collaboration with Business Subject Matter Experts.

• Keep abreast of available external market trainings and leverage available Group Learning Programmes.

• Develop training materials for in-house training programs (e.g., Training Manuals, Training Aids).

3. Deliver Training & Talent Programs

• Deliver training programs in partnership with Business Subject Matter Experts, ensuring full attendance and active participation.

• Manage and support NBC staff in their learning process through Digital Platforms (TLS, Group Digital Campus, Group Learning Portal, etc.).

• Monitor and evaluate the impact and consistency of training programs to ensure continuous improvement and contribution to business objectives.

• Ensure strict adherence to governance, internal controls, and policies relating to learning activities.

4. Administration & Reporting

• Compile learning-related reports, track progress against learning targets, and provide e-learning platform reports upon request.

• Reconcile Training Accounts and proactively manage the training budget and spending.

• Manage payment applications for staff and vendors, ensuring correct and timely processing.

• Handle training logistics, including venue arrangements, invitations, accommodation, training material preparation, and travel bookings.

• Oversee general office administration, stationery management, and administrative support for the Learning & Leadership Team (LLT).

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Banking, Human Resources, Education, Commerce, or Business Administration. Talent & Development Partner at NBC Bank

• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a Banking, Training, or HR environment.
