Job Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle to attract, select, and onboard high-caliber talent across all business units. Reporting to the HR leadership, this role collaborates closely with line managers to understand business needs, headhunt top talent, meet monthly hiring targets, and deliver a seamless onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Recruitment Operations & Sourcing:
-
Manage full-cycle recruitment, from vacancy approval and job specification refinement to candidate placement.

Craft and publish engaging job advertisements across various job portals, career sites, and professional networks.

Proactively headhunt and source passive candidates via recruitment databases, networking, and direct outreach when response volumes are low.

Screening, Interviewing & Selection:

Screen resumes, conduct in-depth telephone/virtual pre-screening interviews, and create candidate shortlists.

Coordinate and schedule interview panels with hiring managers, preparing complete interview packs and assessment materials.

Administer pre-employment tests, psychometric assessments, and candidate background verifications.

Onboarding & HR Support:

Facilitate seamless onboarding for new hires, ensuring all necessary operational tools, equipment, and access rights are ready prior to start dates.

Supervise, mentor, and coach junior recruitment or HR support team members.

Perform additional HR duties and talent management projects as assigned by department leadership.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience
Education & Experience:
-
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Work Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in talent acquisition, end-to-end recruitment, or generalist HR roles.

ATS & Tech Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment databases, professional job portals, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Key Competencies & Personal Attributes:

High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.

Proven headhunting, candidate engagement, and interviewing techniques.

High level of personal integrity, discretion, and professionalism in managing sensitive candidate data.

Ability to work effectively under target pressure in a fast-paced technology environment.
