Position Overview

The Solutions Architect – Data Center Solutions designs and delivers scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud and data center infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. Working closely with enterprise clients and internal teams, you will lead solution design, presales consulting, implementation, and service activation to drive revenue growth and ensure exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Presales: Gather customer business requirements and design tailored cloud, colocation, and data center solutions.

• Infrastructure Readiness: Ensure an optimal, always-ready hosting environment for customer equipment and applications.

• Onboarding & Implementation: Lead technical installations and manage end-to-end customer onboarding to ensure smooth service activation.

• UAT & Enablement: Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and conduct technical training for both client teams and Vodacom sales staff.

• Innovation & Revenue Growth: Identify and scope emerging hosting and cloud technologies to boost colocation revenue and enhance solution offerings.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic planning, technical solution design, project management, sales engineering, or product development within ICT/Telco.

• Strong background in cloud and data center infrastructure solutions.
