Job Title: Loan Recovery Officer

In an effort to stream line operations, Serene Microfinance LTD seeks to recruit qualified Loan Recovery Officer to be involved in debt/Loan recovering. 

Loan Recovery Officer Duties and Responsibilities

• Keep tracking  of outstanding loans and Defaulters
• Plan course of action to recover Non Performing Loans
• Perform loan recovery as per target given
• Locate and contact debtors 
• Update account status and database regularly
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
• Handle customers’ questions or complaints
• Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans as directed by your supervisor
• Build trust with debtors 

Required Skills & Qualifications. 

• Two years of experience as Loan  recovery officer in a microfinance /bank
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication Skills and  financial skills
• Excellent Communication (both written and spoken) in English & Swahili

Education Requirements

• Holder of University Degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, Finance or other related field
• At least 2 year experience in a similar position.
