About TANROADS

The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is tasked with maintaining and developing the trunk and regional roads network in Tanzania Mainland, as well as managing axle load control operations. The Regional Manager of TANROADS Dodoma, on behalf of the Chief Executive, is recruiting qualified Tanzanian professionals for the road upgrading project: Kongwa Jct – Ngambi – Mpwapwa (32.0Km), LOT I (Contract No. TRD/HQ/1033/2023/24).

Entry Qualifications & Requirements

• Nationality: Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

• Professional Registration: Must be officially registered as a Land Surveyor.

• Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of working experience in a related field.

• Project Experience: Must have served as a Topographical Surveyor on at least two (2) road projects of similar magnitude and complexity within the last six (6) years.

• Location Availability: Must be ready to work in the Dodoma Region for considerable periods.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise field survey teams, plan field operations, and establish or confirm all control points.

• Conduct pre- and post-construction topographical surveys and establish survey control plans for GPS and LPS equipment automation.

• Perform primary layouts for earthworks, pavements, structures, and drainage/pipe systems.

• Maintain daily written records, perform analytical calculations, and lead survey operations on site.

• Search legal records for geodetic reference points and national benchmarks; verify data accuracy to determine boundaries and prepare survey plans, maps, and reports.

• Inspect construction works for compliance with technical specifications and review designs to verify dimensions and quantities.
