Senior Procurement Officer in Advent Construction plays a crucial role in ensuring that all necessary materials, equipment, and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner to support construction projects.

• Identify potential suppliers, conduct vendor evaluations, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with reliable vendors.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery speed, and service to ensure that the construction project’s needs are met
• Source, select, and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies required for construction projects.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop procurement budgets and cost estimates for materials and services.
• Monitor expenditures to ensure that procurement activities stay within budget constraints.
• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable to the construction project
• Monitor contract performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Identify potential risks related to procurement activities and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
• Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions to proactively address potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and coordinate procurement activities
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in procurement practices.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to optimize procurement processes.es to optimize procurement processes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Purchasing / Procurement or equivalent
• Minimum 5 -10 years’ experience as a Senior Procurement Officer or similar position.
• Experience in Civil construction materials e.g. Hardware, Plumbing, electrical, and equipment is a MUST.
• Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with Accounting Software (Tally) will be considered an asset.
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Goal-oriented, organized, team player, and attention to detail.
