Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Credit Officer II leads client outreach, credit risk evaluation, loan portfolio management, and repayment collection for Proshare Finance Limited in Dodoma. The position ensures compliant disbursement processes, collateral monitoring, and achievement of branch lending targets.

• Client Sensitization & Marketing: Conduct area mapping, active marketing campaigns, and awareness raising for prospective wholesale and retail clients to expand the loan portfolio.

• Credit Appraisal & Risk Assessment: Analyze client credit data, financial statements, and financial ratios to determine lending risks. Prepare and present detailed credit appraisal reports to the Branch Manager and Loan Committee.

• Portfolio & Repayment Management: Monitor loan repayments, manage portfolio health to achieve branch targets, and prepare regular loan portfolio management reports.

• Documentation & Legal Compliance: Prepare accurate loan agreements, manage collateral valuation, monitor post-disbursement compliance, and support the Legal Officer in litigation matters against defaulting clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Banking, Financial Management, Microfinance, Accounting, Development Finance, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in credit management, microfinance, or commercial banking.

• Location Preference: Local residents of Dodoma will be given first priority during shortlisting.

• Key Competencies:

  • Strong credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and risk evaluation capabilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of credit approval terms, collateral valuation, and statutory financial regulations.

  • Excellent communication, client negotiation, and credit debriefing skills.
