Key accountabilities:
- Prospect and generate new leads through cold outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations with potential clients.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Present and articulate the value of cybersecurity solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with solutions engineers and technical teams on proposals and RFP responses.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly goals.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to drive renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and competitive landscape.
- Attend industry events, webinars, and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports to management.
Must have qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, technology sales, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and performance targets
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex technical solutions in simple, business-oriented terms
- Proficiency in CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, or equivalent)
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience selling cybersecurity, or IT solutions
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts: firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, zero trust, cloud security
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or Cybersecurity Sales certifications
- Experience with solution selling or consultative sales methodologies (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR
- Existing network of IT decision makers or CISOs is a strong advantage.
