Safari Sales Expert – Arusha Office

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional with proven experience in sales within the tourism industry to join our team.

Shadows of Africa is a premier African safari tour operator with over 15 years of experience. With offices in Tanzania & Zanzibar, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Africa, we specialize in crafting unforgettable safari experiences for travelers worldwide.

About the Role:

As a Safari Sales Expert, you will be responsible for managing incoming leads—no cold calls—guiding clients from their initial inquiry to booking their dream safari. This role involves crafting tailored itineraries, advising clients on the best travel options, and ensuring a seamless experience before and during their trip.

📍 Location: This is an in-office position based in Arusha, Kisongo.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and provide expert advice on safari options.
Manage the entire sales process from inquiry to booking.
Achieve or exceed sales targets.
Prepare and submit client contracts.
Maintain and update the CRM system.
Coordinate sales efforts with marketing initiatives.
Address and resolve client concerns before and during their trip.
Provide regular sales reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in the travel industry.
Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record.
Fluency in English (additional languages such as Spanish, Dutch, or German are a plus).
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in email, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
In-depth knowledge of East African safari destinations.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Education in tourism, hospitality, or business is an advantage but not required.
Personal travel experience in Africa is a bonus.

Salary & Benefits:

💰 Net salary range: TZS 1,000,000 – 1,300,000 per month.
