Job Description
Reports to: Head of Remedial
Main activities
Proactive portfolio management through identification of warning signs and take corrective measures.
Proactive rehabilitation and remediation of loans and projects under distress.
Preparation of credit requests or memos for presentation to management.
Daily follow up and tracking of all CRAG portfolio with arrears/excesses.
Immediate review and identification of turnaround strategies for those accounts transferred to the unit. Aggressive follow up on the implementation of strategies to ensure delivery within the minimum time possible.
Daily follow up of collateral, facility or KYC documentation deficiencies to ensure closure within the agreed timeframe.
Timely issuance of statutory demand notices as per the bank policy.
Regular review of accounts downgraded and preparation of lessons learnt for sharing to other business teams.
Preparation of periodic reports for management review and action-both on and off system.
Corresponding with key internal stakeholders for example the business teams etc.
Corresponding and meeting with customers. Be a key contact person for corporate and commercial banking clients on all banking matters eg. Facility, transactional.
Continuous development of an efficient and cost-effective collection process.
Participation on departmental meetings/SAMRC meetings.
Participation on budget preparation and implementation.
Assisting junior staff falling under Restructuring Unit on implementation of their duties
Implementation of any other duties assigned by your supervisor
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of University degree preferably in accounting, Finance, Economics or its equivalent.
Master degree in accounting, finance and economics or its equivalent is desirable.
Relevant professional qualification in banking and credit risk management.
At least 4 years work experience as a Relationship Manager handling corporate & commercial banking clients.
Credit analysis knowledge is highly desirable.
