Position: Quality Control Supervisor

Location: Zinga, Bagamoyo District

About the Role:

The primary role of the Quality Control Supervisor is to supervise quality control activities for incoming raw materials, stored materials and finished feed, ensuring adherence to company quality standards, customer specifications and ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, GMP and PRP requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Quality Controllers and coordinate inspection and testing activities.
• Review and capture internal and external test results and ensure quality documentation is complete and current.
• Coordinate water and Salmonella sampling, external laboratory submissions and retention-sample management.
• Oversee moisture analysis, NIR scanning, urease testing and verification of QC scales.
• Ensure correct sampling and testing methods, laboratory hygiene, health and safety and procedural compliance.
• Identify and report non-conformances, support investigations and train Quality Controllers in day-to-day activities.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Degree in Agricultural Sciences or a related field and a professional qualification are preferred
• Diploma in Agriculture or a quality control certification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Basic understanding of the feed manufacturing industry and specialised training/experience in quality and feed safety management systems.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a milling environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and product-quality-control skills.
