Responsibilities

Ensuring all tasks or activities are always executed and aligned with safety standard operating procedures and safe work instructions.
Analyzing project specifications, developing work schedules, and delegating tasks to different teams
Ensuring that each project stays within the allocated budget and timeframe
Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements
In-depth understanding of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, contractor’s performance) and report regularly on project status
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project stake holders to provide assistance and technical support.

Qualification requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Project management experience is recommended
Proficient with MS Office & MS Project
Valid Driving License

Experience and competencies needed.

Must have a minimum of 5 (Five) years worked as Project Engineer on Construction Projects
Must have strong mechanical background with Steel Fabrication and Erection works, Equipment Installation and Commissioning works.
Sound knowledge of Mining Safety Regulations and best practice.
Possess a valid light vehicle manual-class driving license.
Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with and commitment to HSE best practice.
Ability to consistently manage such a diversified portfolio in a high-pressure environment.
Highly professional conduct at all times and the ability to deal with a diverse client base.
Performance orientated, strongly motivated and maintains a high work standard. Strong work ethic.
Shows initiative. Adaptable to change management processes. Focused on continuous improvement.
