About TANROADS
The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is tasked with maintaining and developing the trunk and regional roads network in Tanzania Mainland, as well as conducting axle load control operations. On behalf of the Chief Executive, the Regional Manager of TANROADS Dodoma is recruiting qualified Tanzanians for the road upgrading project: Upgrading of Kongwa Jct – Ngambi – Mpwapwa (32.0Km), LOT I: Kongwa Jct – Ngambi – Mpwapwa (32.0Km) Contract No. TRD/HQ/1033/2023/24.
Entry Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.

Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.

Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in a related field.

Project Experience: Must have served as a Resident Engineer on at least two (2) projects of a similar nature.

Location Commitment: Must be prepared to work in the Dodoma Region for extended periods throughout the project duration.
Duties & Responsibilities

Lead site personnel and supervise all technical, operational, and administrative activities on site.

Oversee site contractors and force account operations while developing detailed project work plans.

Manage project contracts, quality control protocols, and process contractor invoices for payment approval.

Prepare regular progress reports, attend site meetings, and record meeting minutes.

Monitor the execution of social and environmental impact mitigation plans in coordination with the TANROADS Environmental Specialist.

Maintain complete project records, including site diaries, correspondences, test results, measurement calculations, and payment documentation.

Perform any other related duties assigned by the Project Manager (PM).
