Job Overview & Purpose

Hodari Christian School is recruiting a qualified Nurse to promote and safeguard the health, safety, and physical/spiritual wellbeing of students and staff. The primary focus of the role is school health services, including administering first aid, managing minor illnesses, keeping health records, and facilitating hospital emergency referrals. The position also supports front-desk administration when needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard the health, safety, and overall wellbeing of students and staff.

• Administer first aid and provide primary treatment for minor illnesses.

• Maintain confidential and accurate health records for all students and staff.

• Facilitate emergency medical referrals and transfers to local hospitals.

• Support front desk administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Education: Recognized Diploma in Nursing from a credible institution.

• Licensing: Valid professional registration and practicing license with the relevant nursing authority in Tanzania (TNMC).

• Experience: At least 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in pediatrics, community health, or a school setting.

• Certifications & Abilities: First aid / emergency response certification, fluency in English, strong clinical judgment, and high cultural sensitivity.

Key Competencies & Skills

• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong ICT skills for record-keeping and administrative tasks.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
